Women's Health of Augusta

This was my first visit to Women's Health of Augusta and my doctor is Alexandra Shurling. I was very impressed with the overall feel of the office. Everyone I met was as nice as could be from the receptionist to the lady drawing my labs, and I feel like I was not only seen, but heard, more than anywhere I have ever been before. My visit was not rushed, and the doctor listened to all of my concerns and helped me sort out my next steps. I am very pleased and will continue my visits here going forward.

First of all, I have never had a bad experience with this practice. I started with this practice in 2014 and fell in love with all the services I received here. My provider, Dr. Joseph (recommended by my sister) has been my saving grace when no other provider in my hometown would provide the services I needed at the time. He is so kind, friendly, knowledgeable, qualified, and professionally concerned about women’s health and treatments. He did and continues to do AMAZING in office visits and with my surgery/care. He listens attentively and provides recommendations that are beneficial to his individual patients’ needs. I would not go anywhere else. As far as the staff, they are so friendly and professional with welcoming smiles as they greet patients/guests. Secondly, Patience is key to appointments with multiple providers and services. When I schedule an appointment anywhere, I prepare myself for a wait. I know that when it’s my turn to see the doctor that he/she will spend the time needed to benefit my healthcare concerns. At Women’s Health of Augusta, I get exactly the care I feel will help me and that makes me happy. From check in to check out, the treatment/experience is the best women’s healthcare in the Augusta Area from my point of view. Lastly, I highly recommend this practice for your female medical management. PS sorry for such a long review.

I hate to give this clinic a one star because I love some of the staff but the triage nurses that give you these results are horrible. When you’re a HIGH risk pregnancy and are calling for your results that they said you would be called back the following day if not the day after. When I called for the second day the nurse was upset that I was upset cause I needed to know my results now. She did not care and told me that I just needed to wait for the doctor to review the results because she was seeing patients and there was nothing to be done even though I stated I had not been feeling well and needed to get the necessary medication to prevent anything bad happening to me and my baby. I thought HIGH risk pregnancy women are a priority? I guess not. The nurses name is KACY and was horrible to deal with on the phone. Thank goodness this is my last baby because after this I will NOT be coming back and doing business with this location. Melissa which is the clinical manager needs to correct this behavior with her staff because for these reasons they will keep losing patients.

Dr. Joseph is an amazing physician. He listened to me from day one. I suffered for almost 10 years with pain and problems. My very first appointment, Dr. Joseph did all the necessary testing and took action. 3 years later, I am pain free, my energy is back, and my issues are resolved. Thank you Dr. Joseph for listening and caring! If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

Dr.Rushing was my OBGYN last year and she was amazing! She truly took the time to listen to me and was very prompt at getting back to me if I needed prescription refills. She even came in on her off weekend to deliver my first baby!! It was such a special day. I can’t wait for her to deliver my next! The front desk staff and the US techs were also very pleasant as well.
