William Sasser Guide Service

Went a couple weeks ago to the land of dinks . 6hr trip actually lasted 1.5hr . You think you limit out you’ve had a good trip but when your biggest fish is 2.5lbs and guide never moves to try to find quality fish you realize your just there so he can make money . Have been with several other local guides who try to put you on quality fish to have a memorable experience w friends . Unfortunately this was an experience w friends I’d love to forget . I honestly feel bad for the two guys that burnt work vacation days for this . No photos to add compares to someone shooting fawns and taking pictures . Hope this review reminds guide that good experiences and service goes along way towards repeat business and recommendations

I do not like leaving negative reviews and this one won’t be completely negative but… me and 3 buddies went out last week with Brad and we were disappointed. Left the dock at 0600 was back at dock at 0745. While most would say that’s awesome you caught 40 fish in one hour and 45 mins including a 10min ride each way; we wouldn’t agree. Why?, because over half the striper was barely 12”, heck a couple fish were so small we didn’t even know they were on, we fished only one spot. We caught 2 fish about 3-4pounds. A 6 hour trip completed in 2.5hr start to finish including fish cleaned, only one spot and we came home with less than 2.5 pounds of fish each. We were all unhappy, 2 of us took a day off work for this trip in hopes of getting on some quality fish and spend some time together just the boys. I even asked Brad if he enjoyed what he did as he seemed to just go through the motions and didn’t care about what he did. Was he having a bad day? Maybe, but when you have paying customers you make the best of it or reschedule. I’ve heard nothing but good about Sasser’s and if you wanna catch dinks with your kids then by all means go ahead. $600 for less than 10lbs of fish… NO THANKS…Lesson learned!

We went last January and limited out on striped bass and had a blast ! 5 stars all around! The guide and I laughed at my fiance a lot, because it was 16 degrees out that morning and she was shivering so because she was wearing a net cloth style Nike shocking she was saying her feet were just cold . All in all great time!

Simply the best guide service on Clark’s Hill. Organized, knowledgeable, and outstanding service. Brad and his crews know their stuff. Book with them and you won’t be disappointed.

On February 18, 2023, Bradd took four participants of Camp Rainbow (Care and Shear) on a fishing trip at Lake Thurmond. They are parents of children fighting cancer or blood disorders. The trip was fenomenal and the fishing great. I wasn’t disappointed and I am coming back. Bradd, thanks for Sharing with us you time and equipment.
