If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I have called 5 times since last week when the recycling didn't pick up for our neighborhood. This is the 8th week I have had to go theough this same process. Each time I was told, "oh it happens it will be picked up in 2 days, I can email them." I have left voicemails for the budgeting manager asking for a prorated bill due to their lack of providing service but still charging me and she will not answer her phone or return calls. This is the worst "customer service" ever. They are rude, dismissive, and honestly, I don't velieve a single one of them k ows what they're doing. We need better employees who know the job and actually give a care towards doing it.

Grovetown turned off our water last night with no notice whatsoever. We called repeatedly for them to keep telling us we are irresponsible adults that didn’t pay their bill and stuck by that each time we called. The emergency number wanted to send a fire truck and said that’s all they could do. I go there today with the receipt of payment and the bank statement showing the payment and they literally said “oops sorry our system must’ve missed it!”. They were extremely rude on the phone and sounded surprised we were upset because we had our water shut off out of nowhere. No notice. We have never been late on a payment. We are looking into formal complaint options as it is illegal to shut off water without a notice. Their already subpar service is only going to get worse after they get slammed with fees to compensate the residents they are screwing over.

Horrible. You can't auto-pay online, so you must wait for the bill in the mail. Of course, sometimes the bill never comes (or arrives after the payment due date), and then they just shut your water off without notice.

I just called and spoke to a very polite woman on the phone about having my water bill changed to my name. I just moved here to attend a course at Fort Gordon, and after dealing with other municipal utilities, Grovetown seams to be about two decades behind the power curve. My lease is all digital, and I asked if I could email it to someone and was told "we do not accept outside emails." This is really hard to believe. If you have a policy against this, just state that. Don't make up some crazy excuse about not accepting outside emails. You're telling me that you can run an agency without being about to communicate with anyone outside your email domain? I don't think so. Also, there's a $100 fee. This isn't for any service there's doing-- my water is currently running. This is an exorbitant fee for administration. I could understand a $20 admin fee for filing, but $100 is unreasonable for a public organization servicing residents. Oh well, I'll jump through hoops and pay the fee because I have no other options. Really disappointed in my first experience with Grovetown.

Dealing with this company is like going 40 years back in time. Their billing system is obsolete, the female clerks working at the main office are extremely rude, and they don't give a damn if you're in uniform. When I PCS'ed from Ft Gordon to my next assignment, they never send me my $75 deposit back. Six months later, I found out that this company had a lawsuit in excess of $1,250,000 for scamming customers with false readings and overcharging them. Shameful company, be careful when dealing with these crooks.
