I came to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta as an atheist seeking a kind and welcoming community for my daughter and myself—a place where we could find non-judgmental friendship and genuine connection. This church has exceeded my expectations in every way. People of all religious backgrounds are welcome and thrive together, creating a community that reflects the pluralistic society envisioned in the First Amendment and our nation's founding ideals. It’s a rare and refreshing experience to be part of a congregation where diversity of belief is celebrated rather than merely tolerated. For my daughter, this has been an incredible experience. She has made new friends, been exposed to different cultures and traditions, and looks forward to attending each week. Knowing she is in a place where she is safe, respected, and learning to treat others with kindness gives me hope. A moment that made a lasting impression on me was when three atheists were invited to share their stories during the teaching time of the service. Instead of feeling like an outsider, I felt seen, valued, and represented. I’ve also attended a few events with the parents' group and have always felt warmly welcomed. I highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a judgment-free community that stands by you in both difficult and joyful times. Whether you are religious, atheist, or somewhere in between, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta offers a space where you can belong, grow, and be supported.

I feel truly blessed to have found this church. I have nothing but nice things to say about UU Augusta. Since becoming a parent I felt compelled to find a community where I could raise my child in love and kindness and the people here have gone above and beyond showing me that. I'm grateful for the people I've met here and for being able to reconnect with my spirituality through the services.

As a younger person developing my faith, I've found such a home here. I'm disabled and lesbian, so I never really felt fully accepted in the traditional Christian church. I'm so glad I found a place to worship, grow, and develop along side a loving community. Thank you UUCA!

I am so glad to have found my way back to this church! Everyone is welcome here no matter what your romantic preferences, gender identity, color, creed, or special needs are--this church has always been a sanctuary for celebrating diversity, equality, and inclusion. People embrace who you are here because we believe that we are all human, and we are all walking each other home. Peace and Love.

We are new to UU of Augusta but have utilized a number of their programs over the past few years including Navigators, which my kiddo loved attending and some of the info fairs they've offered. It was because of our experience with Navigators that we decided to check it out after a very long break from any type of organized religion. Now that we are attending services, I've been so surprised at how welcoming the members are. I've never experienced a church where we walked in and felt like we belonged. The services are so engaging and I love the community feeling it gives and all of the programs they have for their members. There is something for everyone and everyone has something they can contribute.
