TownePlace Suites Aiken Whiskey Road

The hotel itself was nice and the service was great. The location of the parking lot was very SKETCHY. There were only a handful of parking spaces in front of the building. The majority were in an overgrown parking lot with lights that were blown or hidden by trees. The staff told us the first night they had issues with homeless people coming in after hours that's why the door was locked. My husband wouldn't let me go to the vehicle by myself. I wish I had thought to take a picture at night. I won't be staying here again.

Great location, great staff and great pricing. Only negative was the pull-out couch. I travel a lot, but this was by far the worst pull-out couch I’ve ever slept on. Terribly uncomfortable with no padding. Other than that, I highly recommend this property when visiting Aiken.

We were at this hotel from Friday the 21st to Sunday the 23rd. Our experience with this hotel was Fair. Upon walking into the room the door was wide open not a big deal. We had a rollout bed in the room and it did not come with sheets it took about an hour to get the sheets. When we were here there were many kids running around and the guests hated that so a few complaints came in and it basically ruined their fun. There were no bedbugs in the bed which surprises me after looking at some of the reviews. No car break ins the room had a bunch (46) dead ladybugs scattered and on the bed. This hotel has a good breakfast selection but once they run out of food then there is no Restock. Overall if you want a clean room stay away from here but if you want a spacious dated room, this is the hotel for you. As a side note I was impressed with this hotel but a few aspects made it a 3 star. Room number: 423

Checked in for two nights but have to leave after one. Carpet not vacuumed in room, glasses dirty in cabinet, rag that was used to clean is so dirty it left streaks on the surface of the tables, stove, and front of refrigerator. Coffee maker unusable. Pillows have an old dirty smell to them. A couple of itchy spots on my legs this morning. I am a titanium elite and spend a lot of time on the road an in rooms and I would not recommend this hotel at all. Needs a complete remodel and deep clean. Sorry but this is the truth. A couple of other choices I will be going with from now on and it’s not Marriott unfortunately because I do like the points…

I agree with the comment of someone saying, "If you have read a bad review of this place, don't believe it". And only giving this place 3 stars is 1 star shy of what it deserves. Staff is awesome rooms are awesome, free laundry with complementary laundry detergent and dryer sheets. They have two huge grills you can use. The staff is awesome. Anyone who says anything different is a liar!!!!
