Towne Center Tavern

I’ve been so excited to try this place out. We went for a business lunch today and it was great 😊 The drinks are sangria and the dusk&dapper. The drinks are incredible and not priced too badly at 10 per drink. Food was all good. We had fried pickles, a chicken Caesar wrap, fries, Brussels sprouts, and a black n bleu burger. The ONLY issue I see here is that all of the food is fairly pricey. I feel like a little too pricey for the amount and type of food you get here. Ranch and all the sauces we had were very good. I’d definitely come back here for apps and drinks at the VERY least. Nice to have a spot like this in Columbia County.

First time trying Town Center Tavern. It was a Thursday around 1:30 pm and the restaurant was nearly full, which is usually an indicator a restaurant is good. Well, this place didn't disappoint!! I was greeted and seated promptly. The waitress was very nice and knew the menu well. My son and I ordered the fried rib appetizer and then we ordered and shared the two meat bbq plate. They even separated it onto two different plates which was great. Most places I've been to just bring you one plate so you can seperate it yourself. It was nice they did it for us!! I didn't get a picture but their fried rib appetizer was delicious (4 ribs for $10). The two meat bbq plate ($19) was delicious! We got pulled pork and sausage. The sausage was my son's choice as I'm not usually a fan of it. The sausage was delicious!! Not your typical bbq sausage from around here, more like Polish kielbasa. I could have eaten five servings it was so good!! The pulled pork was delicious also. It was tender and juicy and also had a great smokey flavor. I would get it again and again. Let's move to the bbq sauce. Why aren't these guys bottling and selling this stuff?! It is perfect!! Not too sweet, not too vinegary, not too spicy, also not too tomatoey. It was almost the best part of the meal. The fries, unfortunately not my favorite part of the meal. I wish the menu had mentioned they were seasoned. They were tasty but a little over-seasoned for my liking. So be forewarned, you may want to ask them to go light on the seasoning. They were hand cut and otherwise perfect - not too greasy or soggy!! The salad was a salad. Neither good nor bad. I did enjoy it. It wasn't all romaine or iceberg. It did have a nice texture and bite with the variety of lettuces in the salad. I will definitely return. You should go too if you havent!!

I've been waiting for something to open there since Stay closed so I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. My daughter ordered the shrimp rice bowl, I ordered the steak rice bowl, and my youngest ordered the pesto chicken wrap. Everything was fresh, but the bowls were very bland and the wrap was extremely dry. The voodoo shrimp appetizer was good though. It was also extremely loud when we first got there that we were literally having to yell at each other to talk. Hopefully it will get better as they iron out the wrinkles.

we came in at 7:17 and did not receive our food until 9:20pm we asked our waiter could our food just get boxed up. Our server Alize S. Had a terrible attitude, when asked if we could put in a to go order of Brussel sprouts she said “ no sorry I’m not doing that, our cooks would hate me and are already pissed that they have to box up yalls food” then when asked if we could get our checks split she brought them to us with everything wrong on the checks, we spoke to her about how nothing was right for any of our checks and she rolled her eyes and didn’t fix them for us. When we asked the manager what was going on why is the food taking 2 hours all he said was “ I can go check on it” as all of the servers & bartenders were at the bar eating food. Food was disgusting, greasy and manager seemed like he couldn’t care less, didn’t come over to speak to the table, see if there was anything he could do for us nothing. Seemed like we were an inconvenience for him. We came here to try it out & eat while being at thunder over Evans and will not be going back. Me & Two other women at the table are servers and have served in restaurants for a handful of years and I could never imagine speaking to a guest the way our waiter did.

The smoked wings are amazing (someone mentioned in their review that they didn’t like the fried wings and well they are not fried they are a fabulous smoky flavor). Also the smoked meatloaf is beyond amazing! I noticed another bad review said they ate lunch here but they are just now opening for lunch so I don’t know how they could have had bad food at lunch. Makes me wonder if it was a competitor or something. Here’s what I know…if you love great smoked flavor you will love this Tavern. If you want some amazing Mac and pimento cheese you need to try it here. If you love real handcut fries this is your place to get them! I am looking forward to many more amazing meals here!!
