TOKI Japanese Steakhouse

Stopped in for lunch while I was having my tires replaced at Discount Tires next door. I was not disappointed. The presentation was excellent! The salmon sashimi was generous and had a wonderful, smooth mouthful, with a mild flavor. The tuna sashimi was not my favorite, but not bad. I asked for my tuna roll as a hand roll instead. I wish I’d asked for a spicy tuna hand roll to vary up the flavor, but that is for next time. The ginger salad was very good with freshly grated ginger. The aroma complemented the green tea. All of this went well with my favorite, mackerel nigiri sushi (not pictured). My mouth is watering just remembering. I am planning on coming back for lunch when I’m in the area. Nicely done!

TOKI is one of those restaurants that'll surprise you in all the best ways. The hibachi options were absolutely good. They don't skimp on the portions either. By the time we finished, we were all happily stuffed. We had a pretty big group, but the service was on point. They made sure we were all taken care of and got us seated in no time, even with the place buzzing with people during rush hour. Prices are totally reasonable. You're getting a lot of food for your buck here, which makes the whole dining experience even better. Sure, the drinks and atmosphere might not be anything out of the ordinary, but when you've got food this good and service this friendly, who even cares? Our visit to TOKI was a total win in my book.

waited 10 minutes after being seated to give a drink order, and then another 16 minutes for drinks after ordering them. Both servers were overwhelmed and visibly pissed off, meanwhile 3 hostesses stood by the front door on their phones laughing. Quite possibly the worst dine in experience I’ve had, which is a shame because most of the food was actually awesome. Whoever is over operations here is squandering potential.

Really enjoyed it. Celebrated my daughter's birthday. The staff was friendly. We got sushi and it was excellent. The California and tiger was the best. As usual the chicken and steak is good. Quick service. The waitress kept the drinks full. Eaten here a few times always good.

The Yum Yum roll is delicious. I'll definitely go back just for this.
