The Inn at Houndslake

This place has such a quaint little retro feel to it. It’s quiet and feels like home in each room. The owner is amazing and has such a big heart for hospitality. My kids really enjoy the pool as well. Very sweet little hotel right off the golf course. Would stay again and highly recommend.

A very quaint hotel beautifully set on a golf course. We had the pleasure of interacting with the 2 front desk ladies from both morning and evening and they were an absolute delight. We were there for my sister funeral in the area and they treated me in my niece like family. Rooms were very clean, beds were soft and comfortable. Surrounding were absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend maybe motion lights or brighter lighting in the parking lot for the evening/early morning hours. Nothing could have been more perfect.

Ok, so this is definitely not a place I would ever stay if there were other options in the area that fit my vetting system. I honestly stayed here as half of kind of an internal joke. My boyfriend golfs but I was alone and am pretty far from the country club type. I will not stay at chain hotels. My only exception to that is either airport hotels (I ADORE a good runway view) or in an emergency scenario where there's nothing else around and I have had an incident at an independent hotel (this has happened to me three times and, admittedly, I have been saved by a Sleep Inn). This place is GREAT! The room was HUGE and clean (the fridge was dismantled but still clean). It was quiet and had a gorgeous view and there was an amusing squirrel that was hard at work that I got to observe for hours. I didn't take advantage of any of the offerings but tead there were cookies and that anyone staying at the hotel could use all the country club benefits, with arrangements, and there was a breakfast buffet. I've been on a two week trip and had the best sleep of it here. The beds were comfy and it's very quiet.

I stayed there for 2 months a few years ago & I was just thinking about my experience there recently. If you're going to be in Aiken, this is really the place to stay. They are so generous and really the epitome of hospitality.

Every year when I visit my family, I stay here. It’s always an absolute delight to stay here. They’re always very welcoming, and the hotel has some amazing things! For example, I love swimming, and they have a 12 foot deep pool. Overall if you want to go to a hotel near this area, stay here!!
