The Birdnest Inn

We just had our second stay at the Birdnest Inn. Melinda is a fabulous host and our stay was just as perfect as the first time! Beautiful inn, delightful rooms and great beds, such attention to detail in every respect. Breakfast every day is probably the best part! Make sure you ask for the breakfast burrito one morning! My husband and I will definitely be back. There’s a long list of reasons why the Birdnest Inn has won the Best of Aiken award 3 years running. It’s a perfect TV-free retreat.

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night visit in August, we stayed in the hummingbird room ; the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced, the inn is immaculate, beautiful, full of creative unique art. We loved enjoying the pool outside watching the horses and listening to the waterfall in the pond. Most of all we enjoyed Melinda, our gracious host who made our stay warm and inviting, breakfast was amazing! I hope we will be able to visit again!

Exceptional Bed & Breakfast! We stayed at the Birdnest Inn for two nights and wish we could have stayed for a week more! The Inn is filled with beautiful and fascinating artifacts, among them the most beautiful pottery of all sizes lovingly made by Melinda's late husband. The grounds are filled with flowering bushes and plants as well as a thriving vegetable garden. The room was cozy and the special order mattress was so very comfy. We sat by the pool, rested in the gazebo and watched the two beautiful horses behind the house. Melinda was a wonderful host, answering all of our questions about many of the items displayed throughout the house. We'll go back when the horses are all there as we'd love to see a polo game! I had the most wonderful 2 week stay at The Birdnest Inn. I was in Aiken for a horse show at Bruce’s Field. Location was ever so convenient, but the best features were the stellar environment at Birdnest. Melinda was the best hostess, bar none. The housekeeping part of my stay was nothing less than fabulous. My room was cleaned daily, and bed changed every 3 days with lovely linens. Breakfast was a true delight. And coffee was made early and perfect. I hope to return to Aiken and spend more time at the Birdnest Inn. I should also mention that I had my 2 small dogs with me, and what a privilege to have quiet and beautiful grounds to walk them around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We had a fantastic experience here. The host was very friendly and was kind enough to let us stay for a couple of nights on short notice due to the recent hurricane and widespread power outage in Aiken (this inn also has a generator powering the entire building in cases like this). The breakfast is very good and the owner clearly cares about all of the people staying at the inn. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a place to stay in Aiken.
