I would like to thank everyone who helped with my mama’s internment. I would highly recommend their services. They were kind and helpful with all my needs. It is wonderful to know that there are people in this world still, who care and have great compassion for people. Thank you for helping us during this time.

I don’t think there is a better funeral home. They are so caring, very professional, and just all around amazing people.

I have nothing but good things to say about this funeral home. They handled the arrangements for my grandpa, my stepdad, my grandma, and unfortunately last year my baby. Mrs Polly handled the first 3, so when my baby passed away and I found out she retired, I was a little apprehensive about someone else taking care of the arrangements. Nevertheless, they never fail me! Trevor was amazing and handled everything quickly and compassionately. He made sure everything was perfect for the funeral and although I hope I won’t have to use them again any time soon, I’m glad I stuck with them!

Polly and Starling in Harlem has helped me with both my parents services. Each time Polly saved me. She knew exactly what I needed and didn't need. She handled everything for me. Neither of my parents had insurance. Polly did everything she could to make sure the service was something I could afford to pay for. I am forever grateful for her and Spencer.

I don’t even know where to begin. My husband and I lost our baby boy August 16th and when calling funeral homes we were in shock and felt sick worried we wouldn’t be able to give our baby this one thing, a funeral, an opportunity for our other children and our family and friends to say goodbye. Spencer and Mrs Polly are beautiful people, heaven sent. I felt their love and sorrow every second I was with them. They were so patient with us and gave our son a beautiful service. They did not nickel and dime us like other places were doing. They worked so hard to help us. I could go on and on with every detail but just know these people will always be near and dear to my heart. If you are looking for a place that truly means they are so sorry for your loss and want you to make your final moments with your loved one so special then please choose Starling Evans. They truly are there to help you and not to sell you things. Spencer and Mrs Polly- if you ever read this, please know we are forever grateful for your kindness and heart. Thank you spencer for helping my daughter have the one chance to hold her brother, even if it meant holding his casket. Thank you for putting the little gifts for him in with him. It is such a comfort. Thank you for making one of the worst days of our lives go as smooth as possible and be beautiful. Thank you.
