Stallion Tree Professionals

We shopped around several tree removal services to clear our backyard. The first company we called said they couldn't/wouldn't do it without a crane and only two businesses in town owned their own large equipment. Ebens Gray and Big Stump quoted us in the 12-13k range for 5 large trees. Then we called Stallion, who didn't have a crane but said they'd do the same job without needing one, plus removal of 4 additional small trees, and quoted 1500 less than the standing best offer. They were also available to start the next day. This was a really challenging job and the crew with Stallion showed their level of expertise in a variety of ways. Both of our neighbors next door and across the street also ended up hiring them the same week after seeing the work they did. We would happily hire them again!

Someone referred me to Russ Marshall, owner of Stallion, to take down a large hazardous tree in my backyard. I called him and he came by my house and took the tree down the next day. He was several hundred dollars less expensive than quotes I had for taking the tree down by climbing. He actually has a crane and took it down with a crane. His guys were all very professional and when he left I had no mess to contend with. I would highly recommend getting a quote from Russ before you pay too much. Russ was also the crane operator.

Russ and his crew are consummate professionals. They were careful not to damage any of the surrounding shubbery, worked quickly and safely, and did a great cleanup job. All for a reasonable price. I would certainly use them again should the need arise.

I had a very disappointing experience with Stallion Tree Professionals. On October 6, 2024, the owner, Russ, spoke with my neighbor about clearing trees that had fallen during Hurricane Helene. They asked to use our side entrance for access, which we agreed to, trusting they would be careful. However, when they arrived on October 7, they made a huge mess of both our yard and my neighbor's, who paid them $20,000. They not only ripped the gutter off our house but also damaged our sprinkler system and broke through 24 feet of our privacy fence. We had also inquired about removing two broken trees for $500, but we were never informed that their crew had caused damage to our property. I discovered the gutter disconnected from the house after picking up my kids from school, which was incredibly frustrating. When we confronted them about the damage, their response was dismissive, saying, "well, you won't pay anything." While we didn't pay the $500 for the tree removal, the damage they've caused far exceeds that amount. Overall, this experience has been unacceptable. I would not recommend Stallion Tree Professionals to anyone. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. **Edit: After our initial complaints, Russ came out to speak with my husband and me. He explained that this was not his normal crew working for him and apologized for the damage, lack of communication, and dismissive behavior of the workers. He assured us that he would take care of the damage to our property.**

Russ and his assistant Kayla were very responsive to our requests for help of removal of two large palm trees that were leaning due to hurricane Ian. When the crew arrived, they did an amazing job. They were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend their services.
