I wish the bank could be open Saturday for a few hours. Really hard time to get to the bank doing opening hours. Mobile banking is just not reliable on the app. Too many times they will not accept checks or money orders. At least open the drive-thru on Saturday.

One of the worst banks in all of Augusta. Will quickly freeze your card, will take forever to answer the phones, and rude. I think this bank is terrible.

I originally opened accounts at this bank (GA Bank & Trust) because their drive-thru hours were great & they credited our DEPOSITS the same day they were made! (M-F 7am-8pm & Sat 10am-3pm, but that's been gone since it became S. State Bank) South State Bank needs to CREDIT our DEPOSITS much quicker! It has taken over *a WEEK* for my CASH DEPOSITS & ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS from our local NFCU accounts to be credited & show up in my available balance. *That needs to be corrected right away!* Always check to see if the branch is actually open. We understand that 2021-2022 has been even more challenging than it was btwn 2020-2021. It seems as if it's hard to find folks to work! The employees here have always been very polite, professional, helpful, thorough, & friendly. I haven't been "inside" since before the "2 weeks to flatten the curve" (March 2020). I will be going inside next week, I'll let you know how that goes!

Valerie is amazing at this location. She answered all my Husband and I's questions regarding our accounts and is very easy to contact and if she doesn't answer she will call me right back. Go to this location and ask for Valerie, her customer service and knowledge is superb.

The staff at this location is awesome. They are personable and very helpful in every aspect of banking! It is a pleasure doing business with them.
