SoSal Sandwich & Salad Bar

I went after their rebranding and was served wilted/browning lettuce. Disappointed they got rid of the rice bowls and are now focusing on sandwiches, but mostly just unimpressed with the freshness of the salad itself. Edit: old review below from before rebrand/menu change. Old review: Great fresh options with tons of flavor. The service here is always great. I really like the burrito bowl and their cornbread is delicious.

This used to be my go to favorite place for a healthy salad all grown with local grown goods. Now it is not the same. 80% of the menu is different. My lettuce was sitting in a container Plus the avocados that look like they are supposed to be fresh come out of seal plastic instead of a fresh avocado and I was harassed about wanting to add some watermelon to my salad because I had already paid even though I was never given an option to pay after making my salad. This place does not deserve the name of the southern salad. So sad because this was a go to healthy option when in Downtown Augusta now I will go elsewhere.

What a great find in downtown Augusta, Georgia!! A nurse at my doctors office suggested SoSal for lunch! Great food, friendly staff, clean and they had the cutest outside patio area! I’ll definitely be back with friends in tow!! Located on Broad Street next to Augusta & Co.

SoSal is better than ever! They’ve kept their amazing fresh flavors and now offer even more great options. I love that they still grow their own greens on their hydroponic farm . you can taste the freshness in every bite! The menu has something for everyone, from salads to sandwiches and milkshakes. Fast, healthy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

I’m so excited about the new SoSal Sandwich and Salad Bar in Augusta! They’ve kept everything I loved about The Southern Salad—fresh, high-quality ingredients, fast service, and a welcoming atmosphere—while adding even more great options. One of the best things about SoSal is that they still source their greens from their own hydroponic farm. It’s amazing to know that what I’m eating is as fresh and local as it gets. You can truly taste the difference! The menu is packed with delicious, healthy choices, from signature salads to customizable bowls, sandwiches and even milkshakes. I’ve already found a few new favorites! Plus, their commitment to sustainability and fresh, farm-to-table dining makes them stand out even more. If you haven’t checked out the new SoSal, you’re missing out! Highly recommend!
