Went up there Friday because the Albany office called me and said if I didn’t turn in some papers they were going to close my case out. Because the non custodial parent that owes over 30k in back child support. In August paid some money directly to me instead of using the child support system. They said I was being crooked and that if I didn’t turn some papers in I was going to get my case cancelled. 5 years and several months to get them to take responsibility and I was late one day turning in a paper over money that’s supposed to go to my kids anyways and they want to act like I’m a criminal. I go up there FRIDAY TO RUSH AND TURN IT IN. It was freezing by the way. I got stopped at the front door and got told that they couldn’t take my papers and upload them to my file without an appointment. I explained crying in the cold before Christmas mind you lol that I just needed these added to my file that ALBANY OFFICE ORDERED ME TO COME TODAY. They kept me outside in the cold for 30 min while they sat and talked and did nothing. Oh MONDAY IS APPOINTMENT ONLY TOO. These women in this office don’t care about other women. They just want to not do anything helpful and collect a check. Getting him on support. Was a nightmare. They sent me back to the court house 3 times because no one knew the information needed . They are bullies with a little power in this office. In life you can tell they aren’t happy. And they spread there negativity like a cancer. They are rude, hostile, ignorant, miserable, and the state should really send someone to do an investigation.

The flow of information is disgraceful regarding the entire child support system in the state of Georgia an especially the Richmond County Child Support office in Augusta, Ga. I’ve been the custodial parent since February 2023, and prior to that a full time (DAD) since the birth of my daughter. My daughter has not received an ounce of child support from her less than part time mother. I found out about a court hearing that was scheduled for December 27, 2023, through my own research. And if I never had gone to this court hearing I would have never found out the non-custodial parent was never served the child support papers. I traveled 2.5 hours to a court hearing that was only meant for the non-custodial parent. Meaning I would have still been uninformed about the truth behind my case. This is the definition of Injustice a total lack of fairness and I wish someone who reads my reply can make a difference and acknowledge us good dad’s / fathers by not stereotyping us as deadbeats.

This place is corrupt, my ex-wife was allowed to present false information to this organization in the form of a sworn affidavit saying that I had not been paying my child support. When I disputed the information given in her sworn affidavit to show it was false, and provided documentation to show that I had in fact been paying, I was railroaded. The magistrate who was ordered to hear the case completely ignored the facts presented, and the Special Attorney assigned to represent my ex, Beth Ann Smith, acted in an entirely unprofessional and unethical manner by making argumentative comments and insults at me prior to the hearing. Ultimately, it was ruled that child support be drafted from my wages, despite my having a perfect history of payment. I have never experienced such a total disregard of ethics, or rule of law.

We the custodial parents should be paid for we have to do the jobs for those who work at the child support office. If you have an interstate case they will say they are not the enforcers when they really are. No one ever calls you back or answers or emails.
