After moving throughout Georgia to 3 different nursing homes, Pruitt has been a Godsend. Their Director of Nursing is so thorough and available most of the time. They have nursed my father back to health after him nearly knocking on death’s door while in the other facilities. I can’t say enough good things about Pruitt on Wheeler Rd. I noticed a lot of negative reviews here. I haven’t experienced that. But, I do recall they did an entire staff overhaul at the end of last year.

My mother arrived by private auto for physical therapy, she has been inpatient a week and is in worst shape and weaker than when she arrived. The administrator is all talk and has no clue what is going on.. I demand meeting with facility doctor, physical therapist, and the administrators direct supervisors to review documentation and demand answers. She could stand and pivot a week ago and now unable to even stand. I will also request insurance involvement in this matter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough wonderful things about the therapy department! From the moment my family walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The therapists are incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to their patients' well-being. They tailored a treatment plan specifically for my family and I have seen remarkable progress since starting my sessions. The environment is calming and supportive, making each visit a positive experience. I highly recommend this therapy department to anyone seeking high-quality care and exceptional results! On the road to recovery made easy! Thank you thank you thank you

My bedridden mother was here at Pruitt - Richmond in November 2023 and left by ambulance back to the hospital for improper/neglectful treatment of a UTI. She was left in a wet bed, her ringer would be cut off and no one would respond for hours (I witnessed that for many patients)! The staff would run out of diapers and wipes but the ones in charge would deny that! They did not feed mother properly (diabetic diet consisted of sugar loaded puddings, cake and carbs). She wasn’t given a bath for 17 days! I wasn’t going to leave a review until I saw all the “great” reviews being made by “staff” and had someone ask for recommendations for another nursing/rehab facility since their loved one is currently being neglected at this very same place. When we toured, Their smiling faces promised our mother would receive great care and attention but that wasn’t true. We were there every day to make sure she did. We had never been in the position of having to use a facility like that and it was stressful and heartbreaking. We learned a lot in just a few weeks!!! Never trust places like that and always listen to your loved one!! I just want to add there were 5 employees that were doing their best and they were spread too thin!! Not sure if they are still there, Thank God for them! **DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!

The Pruitt Health facility located down Roy Road, just of Wheeler Rd in the West Wheeler area of Augusta was unsatisfactory for my parent. The mediocre level of care shown to my father was easily observable with just a couple of days after admission. As a family, when my father expressed the maltreatment he received, we collectively decided to immediately remove him from their property. My father has his cognition still and very coherently expressed that he was being spoken to by personnel unprofessional and with unwarranted negative attitude. Disrespectful, to say the least. I personally witnessed him aggressively being turned and manipulated at the hips by staff as I assisted in getting him to stand and be transferred from reclining chair to wheelchair. So glad I was there because they moved with haste and improperly hurried him, both physically and verbally. I was quite appalled at their lack of patience. I then asked why my father's wheelchair lacked leg supports/foot rests. The response I was given was that the employee forgot them. She proceeded to still transport my father, her patient, who has documented degeneration of leg strength and functionality allllll the way down a long hallway in preparation for rehab/PT! While he's being asked by her to hold his legs up for "just a little longer" and I personally have never seen such unsafe patient transport in all my years. Had his foot or feet so much as dragged the disgusting and filthy carpeted floor he would've incurred injury to an appendage or both! Literally this could've been solved by having properly trained staff. This is clinical patient transport 101. Basic skills were clearly lacking. Nonetheless, his corridor and room smelled, the place wasn't sanitary, and my father is not a man to be spoken to any kind of way. My family is not to be treated any kind of way. We simply will not stand for it and don't have to. We only allowed that facility to care for him in the first place because we have another...
