I rated PruittHealth four stars because of the staff. The medical team(Nurses, Patient Techs, CNAs, Doctor) Custodian, and the Admin Staff has been great with my love one. They have shown that they care about the Residents at the facility. My only wish is that the facility be renovated to more modern standards to assist with the needs of the Residents and helpful to the Staff.

I highly encourage you to tour this place before agreeing to leave a loved one there. We were sent there as the only facility that accepts my brother's crappy ambetter insurance. I honestly don't know how this place is not shut down. Cockroaches everywhere. The building is filthy - walls, floors etc. His room would be shared with 3 other patients in very cramped quarters with just a curtain for privacy. In the reception area, there is a juke box playing music so loud, it was impossible to speak with the receptionist or make a phone call. The staff were VERY NICE. It was a very uncomfortable situation refusing to leave my loved one there. He is very sick and I was terrified he would not get rest or better because of the noise and crowding and filthy conditions. But the staff was understanding and if I could have taken that staff and put them in a clean and safe space, I absolutely would have left my relative in their care. I talked to the ambulance drivers who helped me move my brother back to the hospital while I figured something else out for him, and they told me the place is horrible with a terrible reputation and they wouldn't leave a loved one there either. Several people back at the hospital said the same thing. Honestly, I don't even know how the state has not shut them down. This is so sad that this is where our old and sick end up. I have seen several rehab facilities and they were all clean and professional. I felt like I was in a bad movie or a 3rd world country. I wish I had taken photos of the roaches and filthy and the crowded rooms but I didn't. The "virtual tour" on the site doesn't show these things. The residents were really sweet too. One elderly sweet lady, I wanted to just put in my car and take her home too. As we left, she patted my shoulder and said "you are doing the right thing honey"... Please do better for your loved ones.

Your loved ones will die there. While the nurses are great (most of them) the staff behind the desks are just concerned about money. They threatened to kick my father out (one leg, diabetic, CHF, etc.) if his bills were not paid. Mind you he was a vet and didnโt have an income. He only lasted 3 months there. Mold in patient rooms. Mold in the baseboards. Everything was in serious need of repair. Outdated equipment. When I brought my concerns to the supervisor I was met with indifference. She NEVER returned my calls or emails. Read the first sentence of this review and let that sink in. They will DIE if you send them here.

So initially when I first got to the building I was ready to leave because itโs not one of the most up to date places so I was like I want a transfer now and I was in a room with two other patients so they sent one of the intake women to my room and she was like no worries Ms. Holmes we will take care of this and she did because I was move to a private room. And then I started meeting the staff and I still was thinking about leaving but by the end of the day I had started to change my mind because when I tell you that Pruitt has some of the best staff hands down I mean that! Every single person that I came in contact with was absolutely amazing. Brittney was one of my nurses and I love her to life! And I wish I could name everyone there because they all hold a special place in my heart. The three ladies who I worked with for physical therapy were amazing! I got there and couldnโt really walk and I left there walking on my own. I just wish that the facility can get a grant or something to upgrade. Because Pruitt deserves to be listed as the top nursing and rehabilitation center in Augusta. I would recommend this place to any and everyone because they have the most caring helpful staff EVER! I absolutely love each and every one of you and I give this place a 10 out of 10. Thank you guys again for being so supportive, so amazing and so special to me.
