Pilot Cove Ventures

My sunset sail with Pilot Cove Ventures was nothing short of amazing! Ben was a phenomenal Captain and host, explaining safety and sharing his wealth of knowledge about sailing. Seeing as it was my first experience sailing, I was a bit apprehensive, but Ben was patient, kind and reassuring. Not only were we able to capture the beautiful sunset, we were able to see the lively purple martins at Bomb Island. I highly recommend them!!!

Ben’s communication and hospitality were fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn a little more about sailing on Lake Murray.

I had a great time on the Pilot Cove Ventures sailboat tour on Lake Murray, South Carolina. I learned how to sail, thanks to Captain Ben’s expert guidance. Seeing the purple martins start to come in was an awesome highlight of the trip, adding a unique touch to the experience.

What a great experience it was to do a sunset sail on the Catalina 30! 100% would recommend to any and everybody. Ben was an absolute pleasure and a great host. My sisters and I felt incredibly safe and had such a great time! Will be booking another Sail soon :)

Terrific evening! After 31 states and 4 different countries, we look for things "different" or "unique". Ben at Pilot cove was that cool experience. Ben was fun, down to earth, and more than accommodating. He gave info on the lake and wildlife, a thrill ride if you wanted, let the young adults drive a bit before anchoring for the birds. You could swim while waiting for the purple Martin show (straight out of national geographic) and he even supplied snacks and drinks. Can't recommend enough. (thanks, Ben, for being our weird thing this year😉)
