It's a park with several trails, making it fun to walk around. There's also a dog park near the entrance. During our walk, we came across a fallen tree that was blocking the entrance to one of the trails. Overall, we liked the park, but we're not sure if it's being well-maintained.

Finally got to see this park. Walked my dog on the trail. It’s not packed, you can walk the trails peacefully while enjoying nature. There’s disc golf, a designated dog park and a small pond with ducks in it (watch out for alligators). Can’t wait til it’s filled with fall colors! It’s still pretty green although some trees already turned yellow.

I love this park! Disc golf, tons of trees and grass and leaves, clean restrooms, a fantastic bark park for the doggos, and real trails to wander down. It's amazing such a great outdoor site is right in the middle of the city of Augusta. This is possibly the best time of year to go for a leisurely stroll here. The flowers are beginning to bloom and it looks like they've added more vegetation to attract some beautiful herons to the park! There always seems to be plenty of parking, too.

Any way for the community to get involved to help expedite it's reopening? I know Hurricane Helene did a number on a lot of the trees but having a staged volunteer weekend to load pre-cut logs and clear trails of small debris might help speed things along. Probably could reach out to a local boy scouts troop for an eagle project or maybe do a fundraiser with a high school football team and get an article in the local paper for good PR while you're at it.

favorite place to take the dog - shady walking paths with frisbee golf throughout but very beautiful. dog park area is large and shaded with sides for large and small dogs, a water area with a hose and bins for water, and tons of balls that have been left behind. lake with ducks, flowers, and large open grass areas, as well. usually a handful of dogs walking around on leash and handful in the dog park area. could use a liiiittle more upkeep near the lake area - bit of trash and feel a little bad for the ducks there but over all very beautiful and our go to park.
