UPDATED: I updated this initial 'one star' rating because Palmetto Propane came out after dark and filled my tank before the roads got impassable. Thank you so much! I am a new customer and have been informed poorly by the staff on how to manage the requests for delivery service. Now with the temps down in the 20s, I still have a 10 day wait to get delivery and my tank is in the red! This is shameful

On December twenty third (23) I called Palmetto Propane and requested a refill of my propane tank for my shop. The tank was at 25 % capacity. I was told that there is a ten(10) day delivery protocol and that it would be delivered sooner if possible. I’m currently sitting inside my shop with NO gas on January 8 and am being told by Palmetto Propane that my delivery is on the schedule to be delivered “soon “ probably within the next couple of days. I find this to be totally unacceptable! My advice to anyone using Palmetto Propane or considering using them is to constantly check the tank capacity and call for refill at 50 %. Then perhaps you won’t run completely out of gas! I can’t use the automatic refill process because my property is gated and I have to have “call ahead “ for the truck driver so I can put up dogs and open the gate. Their 10 day delivery protocol should have a contingency in place to allow for closely associated holidays.

Five stars for customer service. I bought my gas fireplace unit locally so I would have someone to contact if I had issues. Erica at Palmetto Propane and everyone else I have dealt with here have been attentive to my concerns and followed through in a timely manner.

2 months ago we purchased a Broilmaster grill from Palmetto. It was delivered and not hooked up due to our patio construction. The grill was delivered without all of the necessary connections to our outdoor gas line. I have since purchased these items and I cannot get Palmetto to assist in connecting the grill to my outdoor gas connection. They recommended a gentleman who does not travel to Aiken and we are at a loss as to why Palmetto will not assist in connecting us with someone in Aiken who can complete this hook-up. UPDATE: Received a call from Palmetto and we described our issue and what we needed to get our issue corrected. Palmetto dispatched Sam to our home on the same day I posted my review. Sam took the time to see what parts I had purchased, made the necessary changes and hooked up the grill and tested. He knocked on our door and showed me how to operate the grill. I greatly appreciate the immediate response and resolution to our issue and we can now use our grill. I started at 2 stars and have now raised our review to 5 stars. Thank you Palmetto in helping getting this resolved!

Watch out for Palmetto Propane’s tank fee. The way they calculate propane usage makes no sense. Just received $150 tank rental fee because I did not meet the minimum usage requirement of 120 gallons in a year. I have a 120 gallon tank originally filled Sept 2022, you would think Sept would be when the clock starts for usage, but it’s not. They use July 1st as their calendar year. I’ve had a total of 249.7 gallons delivered since Sept 2022, so not even two years since I’ve had this tank. 9/6/22 (10.8 gallons) 9/7/22 (73.1 gallons) 2/10/23 (53.2 gallons) 7/25/23 (48.9 gallons) 1/17/24 (63.7 gallons)
