Otter Sailing Adventures

We had the most incredible time sailing in Beaufort on Otter Sailing Adventures! As a family with a toddler, we were blown away by how welcoming, safe, and family-friendly the entire experience was. Captain Barry, who grew up sailing, brought not only deep expertise but a warm, personal touch that made our us feel like part of the crew. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly suited for families. We saw dolphins off the bow, they took us to Monkey Island, and ended with a beautiful sunset, making every moment incredible. We couldn’t recommend this more for families looking to make lasting memories on the sea. Absolutely unforgettable!

My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon sail with Captain Barry on his gorgeous boat! The weather was perfect and Barry gave them a wonderful tour of the rivers surrounding St. Helena Island. He was knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and the boat was very comfortable and clean. It was very easy to get to from where we were staying on Fripp Island. We'll definitely do this again!

We love Otter Sailing Adventures! .My mom, daughter and I took the 2 1/2 hour sailing tour — it was so relaxing. The owner and his daughter were our crew — they were very knowledgeable and made you feel at home on their boat. We are already planning our next tour with them.

Otter Sailing Adventures was a beautiful experience! Barry is an incredible sailer. The water was choppy the day we went, but he was able to make the boat sail smoothly. Barry was able to make his guests feel comfortable. The boat was clean and sailed like a charm! I had never been on a sailboat prior and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The company was easy to book with. I just love how Barry enjoys sailing people on the beautiful waters of Beaufort. It’s a great family owned company.

What a trip! Captain Barry and his crew (First Mate Abner, age 11, totally awesome) took us for a beautiful sailboat ride through the waters of the Carolina Coast. We learned about local points of interest, saw several sets of dolphins, looked for monkeys on Morgan Island, went for a swim behind the boat, and heard fun sailing adventure stories. We sailed with our four kids from ages 3-10, and they got to ask endless questions about sailing, and take many turns piloting the boat. The entire time was a delightful family fun adventure, highly recommended as part of your beach adventures.
