After eating brunch at the Brunch House of Augusta we drove to the Savannah River walk off of 10th street. We noticed that some young artists were painting a mural on the side of a building. This project is a two week mural camp. Young people sign up and pay to do this camp. Mural artist Jason Craig is one of the teachers involved in this project. There are several buildings around the city of Augusta that have been painted by these artists student campers. This caught my attention because art and wood carving are two of my hobbies. I love to support local businesses and art education.

Very nice beside the Savanah river walkway. We'll decorate with antique oil paintings. It's not so big but it's worthy to visit with alone, or with friends and family. You have to pay but Sunday is free.

A Beautiful Museum Experience Our visit to the museum on a quiet Sunday was an absolute delight. With only a few visitors present, the serene atmosphere allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and creativity on display. The Oil on Canvas collection was breathtaking, showcasing a remarkable range of talent and emotion. Each piece told its own story, and we found ourselves captivated by the intricate details and vibrant colors. The Glass Blown exhibit was equally mesmerizing. The craftsmanship and artistry behind each piece were awe-inspiring, leaving us marveling at the skill required to create such delicate and stunning works. To top off the experience, the gift shop was a hidden gem. It offered a variety of unique and high-quality items, perfect for bringing a piece of the museum home or finding special gifts for loved ones. Overall, the museum provided an enriching and memorable experience that we’ll cherish. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful and inspiring outing!

Excellent venue for a lovely afternoon of perusing some really good southern art. Our most recent purchase was Shackleford Farm, which hung as part of the Georgia Watercolor special exhibit. Buy a painting, visit the giftshop, and just enjoy the quality of Art available locally in Augusta GA!
