Martinez Adult Education

In 2005 I got my GED from here. I graduated top of my class! Which was crazy because I only had 60 credits in my senior year. By doing the GED it was over with after a quick refresher class and then a 2 day test. I remember the teachers thought I was giving up when I said I was already Done on day two, and asked me if I was sure I wanted to leave or sit down and recheck my answers. I told them I was sure, and they politely wished me luck. I got my results soon after. When I went to get my GED from their office, they informed me of how high I tested. I was shocked because I thought I barely passed! It was fun and easy. It has helped me ever since, and I also got my diploma after the GED (not by choice, of course, but by circumstance—being forced to attend school during a stay at the juvenile "hotel California"). I still use my GED over my diploma because the school my diploma is tied to sets a bad first impression. Thanks again, Martinez Adult Education!

I have been taking classes here since the summer session, 2018. Let me say that the staff and teachers are the best. They are caring and knowledgeable, always willing to help, they allways go above and beyond. MAE, has some articulations with DVC, and Los Medanos so you can get college credit for some of your classes. I highly recommend.

High school program takes forever and a year you do a lot of work for a small amount of credits you'll be here for years at the rate they go you want your diploma don't come here because it's like your going to be in regular high school total time waster

The teachers and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I am enjoying the classes I am taking.
