Madison Heights Evans

My mother, who will be 90 next month, has been in a fairly rapid decline for a couple of years. She was told she could not return to a previous facility when leaving rehab and we were quickly looking for another place for her to be. From the moment we talked with Marcus, I felt a peace about her being here, and they have never disappointed! She can be difficult at times, but Madison Heights has never been anything but encouraging to us and to her. They are continually looking for new and better ways to handle her dementia and deteriorating physical condition, suggesting hospice to help us navigate her ever-changing condition, and always sending us pictures of any activity she will participate in. She has even become a “star” on Facebook! Madison Heights is not only a huge answer to prayer, but something myself and her family are grateful for every day! We are so blessed to call them “home” for her!!

My mother-in-law just loves it there. We were really apprehensive of taking her somewhere since she had living with us. It just seemed that here with us, she would sit in front of the TV and watch episode after episode. Or sit in the backyard and look outside. She just didn’t seem quite happy and it was a lot of work for us as we couldn’t leave her alone and had to watch her if she got up to walk. We felt a little guilty at first to put her in a memory care facility, but we thought we would try it out for a month.She arrived in Madison Heights in August and she has thrived there The staff is wonderful and she has made friends. Every time we go, there’s a smile on her face. They do lots of activities with them so she doesn’t sit in front of the TV as much. She also gets her therapy there twice a week. My husband and I are both at ease now that she is there. Many of staff treats her as if she is their own mother. She gets a hug when they come in at the beginning of the day from most of the staff. They also send me photos and messages of mom, which is really nice. I am so grateful that we found this place and I would highly recommend it.

Dad is.adjusting well and seams to be happy in his new space. He has a new friend and the facility staff interaction is so good for him. I want to think everyone for the help.

I frequently visit Madison Heights Evans to provide music therapy to the residents. The staff is friendly, attentive, and interactive with the residents throughout my visits. You can tell they are passionate about providing compassionate care to the individuals that live there. The buildings are clean, safe, and well organized. The lifestyle director, Kelly, provides thoughtful and diverse activities each day for the residents. She is easy to collaborate with and looks out for the wellbeing of every resident. As someone who visits a lot of assisted living facilities throughout the area, I can say Madison Heights is one of the best!

We moved our mom from an assisted living home in Aiken to Madison Heights earlier this year. I am so glad that we did! The staff are so friendly and take excellent care of my mom. The food there is unlike anything I am used to seeing in a facility, everything is delicious! I am also very pleased with the level of communication, as we have had past problems with this in other facilities. Overall we are very happy with her move and are thankful to everyone involved in our moms care.
