Lovo's Bar & Grill Mexican Restaurant

Me and my daughter go here every Tuesday and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is really good and the service is quick. If you walk in a place and it's packed it's likely for a reason.

Everything was ok when we got to the restaurant. Our server had trouble understanding English. This was fine. We were in no rush and took our time ordering. When we got our food only one thing was wrong. I ordered a beef hard taco and got a soft taco with steak. She came over to ask what kind of tortillas I wanted with my fajitas and I told her corn tortillas and then explained to her that our taco was wrong. She was having trouble understanding me and I was trying my best to explain but honestly I know absolutely no Spanish and I felt awful about it. That's when she got an employee who spoke English and she fixed the order. But then our waitress never came back. She was very obviously upset with me and none of the employees would help us after that. We tried multiple times flagging someone down. Me and my son had to eat our entire meals without drinks. I never got my tortillas for my fajitas. Apparently she went and got either the owner or the manager and he was very kind but at that point we had already eaten all of our food without drinks. I'm confused as to why she was so upset that I wasnt going to accept something I didn't order and the fact that she was very obviously telling all of the other employees to ignore us was strange. At one point I thought they wouldn't even bring us the bill. The food was really good and I was excited to have a new restaurant to try but I ended up leaving feeling pretty down about the whole situation and feel like it was handled poorly by the staff. I never fussed at her and I never felt angry. Mistakes happen and she is learning. I hope that we can try this restaurant again one day maybe. I also hope that she ended up having a better day. As someone who served for many years I understand getting upset but there was never a reason to treat us poorly.

They took our order as soon as we got there. Brought us our drinks. Waited at least 45 minutes. Finally I called another waiter over and asked about our food. She went and checked and they hadn't even started. Cook went on break. Pay for our drinks and left.

I ordered takeout for my dad's 80th birthday, and it was ready when I arrived. Everything was delicious!! My dad pigged out! The steak fajitas, guac and cheese dip were all great! Love how the steak was in small pieces. Thank you!! We'll be back!

Update with new photos. Oct 2023. Still good. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. This place is a must try! Great food and staff! They say they have only been open for 2 weeks which explains some of the small deficiencies in service, but it is easily overlooked. Can't wait to go back!
