Laniers Fresh Meat Market

Excellent experience here. I bought several tomahawk steaks on short notice on a Friday and the staff took great care of me. The steaks were a hit with my guests and the quality of the meat was superb. Smoked these steaks on the Recteq at 300° till they were medium rare, seared them and served them with great reviews. Will definitely be a return customer.

I visited Laniers Meat Market in Augusta ga today 4/30/2025 around 1 or 2 pm. I was being helped by the black female behind the order counter, she was getting some for me bacon, when I asked her if they carried goat or lamb meat, she never answered or I should I say she ignored me then one of her co workers asked me if I was being helped. I responded yes then I asked the employee if she heard my question, she responded with you are the only one talking. I am not even sure what that meant or when I have been more insulted in years, not that I was expecting some kind of special service because we were both people of color, but I know thats not how you are supposed to treat a patron of your establishment. I have been visiting Laniers Meats for about 4 or 5 years, easily spending thousands of dollars there and its an hour plus drive for me but I am not sure if today was not my last time visiting, because that type of behavior is unacceptable. I do know one right I have in this country and it is to be able to spend my money where its appreciated. Lastly as I was leaving the lady was coming out the side door so maybe, I was holding up from her break nevertheless. Its a sad day for me and so unnecessary thanks.

We love Laniers! Their thick sliced smoked bacon is Soo yummy and cooks to perfection! Sirloin steak was beautiful and tender.

First visit very satisfied with my purchases. Lots of choices of fresh and frozen meats. Some meats are pre cut or you can chose a meat package. They also have vegetables and other everyday items.

What a great place. The store has fantastic staff who know what they are selling. The prices are the best in the area. We live 60 miles away and it is worth the drive 2 or 3 times a month to stock up on meats. As always here on the 22nd of September the deals were still there, the only thing was the girl helping me out seemed a bit put out. That's kinda strange seeing that's her job.
