Our Ameris Bank mortgage banker, John, far exceeded our expectations. This purchase was part of our family’s first cross-country move and we were nervous about the mortgage process on top of all of our other planning. We did do our due diligence and shopped around to several companies. We were comfortable within the first few minutes on the phone with John. We absolutely would not have felt the same with any of the others. He and his team were proactive and transparent about what to expect during the process. Instead of choosing to simply complete a transaction with another company, we chose to buy a home with the help of the Ameris family. Additionally, while cost was not a primary factor in our decision, Ameris was also the most affordable by far.
