Visited this location, Monday, 25 of November 2024 first time visiting this location. As we are enjoying ourselves one of the librarians took her time to take a photo of my child; before nor after did she ask or acknowledge me about photographing my child. It made me very uncomfortable I felt as if we were being set up to get kidnapped. I’m going to go on and say she said she was taking a picture of the book he had on the floor not at all a good explanation to why she did it without me knowing as if the books was a problem I could have got them up. I hope this review makes it to the right eyes reason being she move the photo to her trash but if you own a phone you know it’s nothing to go move it back. Over all I’m pissed disgusted and want answers

It’s so wonderful to have Maxwell Library in our neighborhood! As a child, my husband helped raise money for its completion and now it’s newly renovated and beautiful! The staff is always so helpful and we love all the free books they give away to make room on their shelves. Go online, print your documents or scan! Everything you need is right here. What a great resource!

With the exception of their ridiculously RUDE notary, the staff at this public library is very courteous and professional. The notary, however, thinks it is her job to flaunt what she considers to be "discretion" by refusing to notarize so many of the documents people bring into to this PUBLIC library. Why a PUBLIC library would ever choose to work with a notary who does not care to serve the PUBLIC is beyond me. And do not show up 5 minutes before she wants to leave... she will leave early rather than wait the 2 minutes it takes you to print up your document! The function of a notary is to merely confirm your identity and signature (and make sure you know what you are signing and that you are signing it of your own free will)... they are not supposed to be concerned with all the specifics regarding the contents of your document. However, this notary considers herself to be some pompous judge whom you must present your case to as well as the attorney whose silly cross examinations you are required to respond back to. An egomaniacal, condescending, insulting and deceitful notary has no place at any public library... just go to your bank, instead.

Lovely neighborhood library on Lumpkin Road in Augusta. The Library Manager is gracious and helpful. He went well out of his way to answer our questions and to allow us to tour the library. The facility itself is newly renovated....bright and clean with ample computers and convenient meeting rooms with white boards and nice tables and chairs.
