Okay I don't mind paying $15. I realize it's for support but really bites of pure fat not okay for that price unless you're teaching them how to squeeze every penny per pound in that case? Bravo, but don't expect me to be coming back much

After trying for 3 years to make it to the Dinner setting, finally got in. These reservations get sold out for a reason. We learned about this gem from a chef on the Chopped program on the food network. 7 - 8 course French cousine meal in the Fowler Dining Room. Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend. Note - this was about 2.5 hours, so folks with little people’s should be aware. The students and teachers put out great fare that would tempt any foodie. If the chefs at the restaurants on the strip put out half as good food as the Institute, Myrtle would rival Vegas for quality of food.

Lunch at Culinary Institute was a real treat. I've lived in Myrtle Beach for 3 years and not found any restaurants that were better than mediocre, most here that I've tried were subpar. ICI was immaculate, welcoming and the presentation was great. The food was well thought out and tasty. I give it 5 stars, but to be honest this is not same as 5 stars for"real" restaurant. These are students, after all, so you can be a little forgiving. But honestly, compared to the other restaurants I have been to in Myrtle Beach this is actually 5 stars. They had a beef and oyster salad that was very nice, but they had added fried capers on top. At first I thought they had gotten some old herbs, then I tasted it. The cured beef and pickled onions were tasty, but of a rather soft almost bland texture. The salty, crispy fried capers jumped up the texture and brought out the flavor. Brilliant idea! If you live here or visit, this is a must go! Online reservation is simple (only$25 a person). Also, bring a trip for student servers! Went again for dinner, even better!

The take out bakery items are all wonderful and as good as any you will find in the Grand Strand and the prices are extremely reasonable. Obviously the students are very talented and the instructors must be top notch.
