Home Instead

We started working with Home Instead in Augusta almost a year ago to help out with my parents, especially as my Dad was having knee replacement surgery. From our first contact with Camille, they have been professional and caring. Camille moved quickly to understand their needs and match them with the right caregiver. We’ve had the pleasure of working with several wonderful caregivers who are engaging, energetic, reliable and willing to help in a variety of ways …including preparing meals, driving to appointments, laundry, etc. The caregivers (as well as Camille and the staff in the office) have been flexible to work with us on changing needs and displayed kindness and compassion. They have really made a difference this year and we are grateful for their continued support.

My mom has Dementia and we needed a care-pro. (We tried another company but no thank you.) Fortunately, Home Instead did a wonderful job at choosing the right person for mom. She is cheerful and kind. My mom and she hit it off immediately. Mom now brags about her care-pro. Best choice ever was choosing Home Instead. It’s been a perfect fit.

We have been working with Home Instead in Augusta for awhile now and they have been a big help with our parents. They are our “boots on the ground” in Augusta since we all live out of town. Recently that became critical after Helene. They went above and beyond. I called after the storm because I couldn’t get in touch with my parents. Camille road over herself to check on them and let us know they were ok, giving us peace of mind in a tough situation. It’s good to know that they are there when we can’t be.

I want to share my experience with Home Instead and the home care assistance services they provided for our family. After making the initial call for help, Camille promptly scheduled a visit to my parents’ home to make an initial assessment and to determine my parent’s needs. She was professional and took time to discuss and document the needs of my parents. After the visit, she was prompt with returning calls and answer questions. Soon after the initial visit, we were introduced to a fantastic care professional, Kim, who assisted my parents in their daily needs. I received timely status updates on their care and events. Kim also provided us helpful suggestions on equipment aids to improve the quality of life for my parents. Tasha in the scheduling and billing area was a joy to work with as well. She helped with last minute schedule changes which made care changes so much easier. I cannot recommend this team enough!

I received the home instead sales ad in the mail today. Went to the website having questions and a curiosity in how much this would cost. Nothing giving me an idea of the cost is listed... just the same thing car salesmen use "call for pricing". If you can't give an idea of basic service then I already feel like you're going to gouge me. There is also no email link on the webpage so you're forced to be stuck with a sales person that will sell you the world. Sorry, but no thanks now.
