Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aiken by IHG

My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel. I wish we were staying more than a day. I am an IHG member. I was able to check in online. Our room was ready when we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. There was complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and fresh baked cookies. (We arrived in the evening. ) We were so impressed with our room. I thought this was probably a new hotel. But I spoke to the assistant GM, Nicole Almonte, and was told that the hotel was actually 10 years old and did some renovations last year (2024). Breakfast the next day was also very nice. They have a little something for everyone. Hot and cold selections. Make your own pancakes, French toast, grits, omelet, sausages, biscuits with gravy, cinnamon rolls (so good), cereal, yogurt, milk, variety of juices and bread. The hit selections change daily. And of course, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. I used the fitness center, and although small, it covered my needs. There's also an outdoor pool. Free parking. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stay here, and I will recommend it to others. Keep up the great work, Holiday Inn Express!

The check in at this hotel is always one of the best. I'm usually checking in after a long day of travel and work. It's never a hassle as the staff is always so pleasant. Only downside is the tiny pool towels.

My wife and I have been staying at this hotel since it was opened. In face I gave it a 5 star review years ago. Now something has changed since last Thanksgiving, the time of our last stay. They have replaced the tv remotes with a direct tv remote which does not allow use of the smart tv functions. The front dest manager did not seem to care that I was not happy with my stay and told her that I will be looking for another place to stay my next trip to this area.

Stayed here over the weekend while in town for a funeral. We checked out 03/10/25 and shortly after leaving the hotel, realized we forgot our son’s backpack in the room. We searched the entire car and knew there was nowhere else it could be. I called the front desk to let them know and to see if anyone had turned it in yet. The woman said rooms were still being cleaned but she would call me back in 10-15 minutes and let me know if the backpack was there. She called me back 5 minutes later and said nothing was left in the room. We know 100% the backpack was left there containing my son’s Nintendo switch, games, and Fitbit. The backpack never left the hotel room our entire trip. I’m aware we should have been more responsible and made sure we had everything before leaving but with a bunch of kids and chaos, sometimes things happen. Just wish there were more honest people working there who would do the right thing instead of steal a child’s belongings.

Tony and crew are incredible. Best nights sleep I could have ever had away from my own bed! Thank you Holiday!
