If you are visiting Augusta for the downtown nightlife, this is the hotel for you! Located just a few blocks from several bars, it would be a great spot to set up for a weekend of bar hopping and booty shaking. Its newly remodeled so everything is fresh and vibrant. Clean lobby, hall areas and renovated rooms. However, we were not in Augusta to experience the nightlife so this wasn't the best location for us. Renovation was still ongoing upon check in so it was a bit chaotic on the first floor. Elevator was dark and dirty. Our 3rd floor room had been remodeled complete with tile floor, hard beds and modern furnishings. The room clearly had been a smoking room in it's previous life as there was a definite funk in the room mixed with cleaning product smell. Bathroom was bright and clean with Dove brand products provided. Breakfast provided is pretty standard but there wasn't much available when we went shortly after it began. The ladies were working diligently to get it stocked but it took a bit.

Nice, well-renovated (renovations appear to be complete for Master's week) Holiday Inn. Staff is friendly and amenities include pool, fenced parking, fitness center, breakfast (biscuits and gravy!), printer... Rooms are clean and modern. Local area isn't bad but this leg of downtown Augusta has a lot of empty storefronts. Plenty within walking distance.

My recent stay here at the Holiday Inn, was a wonderful experience! The night shift gentleman was very kind and welcoming. He gave great food recommendations, and was very informational over all. Noticed upon my entry to the building it smelled very clean, and everything seemed in very nice shape. My room accommodations were the following; It had NO carpet (yay!) It was very, very clean. Came with a Fridge and microwave, but the microwave plate made a wonky sound. I assume it will be replaced soon. The bed was as comfy as being away from your own bed can get, and it had a decent sized bathroom. Had a roughly 48” TV I think, and a nice little work station. Renovations can be a doozy, but out of all the hotel construction I been through, this one was the cleanest. On checkout day, had to go pretty early, and the young lady offered me some fruit/yogurt to take with me as breakfast was not yet started (starts at 6 am.) I highly recommend this place, as its staff seem to care. Otherwise.. it wouldn’t be as nice and clean, as it was.

**UPDATE (3/31):** Inez Luke, the manager, personally reached out to apologize for the inconvenience I experienced. She was extremely professional, empathetic, and understanding of my frustration. As a gesture of goodwill, she also provided a certificate for a complimentary one-night stay. I truly appreciate her efforts to make things right and turn the situation around. _______________________________________________________________ This hotel’s poor service ruined the whole night for my husband, his friends and family. Here’s the email I sent to management, however, I have not heard back from them. Dear Management and Hotel Group, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how your hotel handled the cancellation of my reservation. We arrived to your hotel between 4:00pm-4:30pm Saturday afternoon and were told to check in later because housekeeping was taking longer than expected. We went on to have dinner, and I received a call from the hotel. They hung up when I answered. After calling them back, they said that the contractors were supposed to be done with renovations Thursday (2 days prior to my check in), but they weren’t which resulted in the cancellation of my room. Why didn’t your hotel cancel Thursday or Friday? To make matters worse, this cancellation came so late that finding another hotel was almost impossible. Instead of providing a real solution, I was merely given points on my account and a list of nearby hotels to call—something that does not come close to making up for the stress, inconvenience, and complete lack of professionalism I have experienced. On top of that, this inconvenience made us late almost two hours to our event. I booked this room weeks ago with the expectation that the reservation would be honored, and your hotel’s failure to do so is entirely unacceptable. I expect an immediate and substantial resolution beyond just reward points. I would like to know what the hotel intends to do to truly compensate for this failure.

Great location for the Herb Alpert concert at the Miller Theater two blocks up the street. Hotel under renovation-that made for some distracting, noisy atmosphere. Especially right above our room, #116. Our room was very nice, good beds and toiletries were stocked well The staff, James(Trainee) who took my reservation over the phone earlier in the week and Asha, Maria and Hotel Manager Inez, were friendly, accommodating and apologetic about the renovation noise. Overall. a great stay and wonderful weekend in Augusta, GA. After the renovation, this hotel will be an excellent place to stay. So, If your in Augusta and want a location downtown, this is your hotel destination. Finally, I was not greeted as a Gold Elite member. Not a big deal, but when you have spent the amount of money over the past 5 years that I have, the recognition is welcome and expected.
