After reading reviews didn't think courthouse could be that bad, I was wrong. Individuals being given probation up to 2 years at $49 a month in addition to monetary fees for the offense they are charged. Deputies writing speeding tickets but don't have to say what their location was when they were running radar, "parked on Robinson Rd ". Which is not relevant if he's running radar 3/4 mile away from where the ticket indicated you are speeding, in a 45mph zone and he pulls you over 2 minutes later in a 35mph zone. Something definitely wrong with the courthouse and Sheriff's Department.

Stay out of this town if you're any other race besides being caucasian. Uniformed officers target African Americans, Filipino, Hispanics, and etc. The Judge Chance T. talks over you when you're providing statements. The uniformed officer and prosecutor doesn't have respect for their own judge and courtroom. These 2 individuals were laughing and having a conversation in the courtroom while the judge was speaking, this is unprofessional and disrespectful. This municipal courthouse doesn't function like any other respectable courtroom within the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia.

Federal government need to audit the current city government. The court house proceedings are unorganized and very unprofessional. Officials in the court house can’t keep up with documents. Present at a court date but told by the clerk of court that I missed my court date. Information recorded is inaccurate. This is how citizens can have their life affected ,based on incompetent personnel operating neglectfuly. The entire staff need training ; or an outside law counsel team to assist in training local government. The city prosecution team representative was very rude and impatient. There was a disabled woman who walked from the back of the court proceeding to the front; to approach the bench when her name was called for a plea. The representative for the prosecution team was too impatient and recommend a cash bond; instead of checking for the signed waiver form that was in his possession. In a rude manner the prosecution representative stated “ they need to hurry up”. Also the prosecution team representative was too lazy to stand up and look around to monitor if a defendant was there in his presence. The staff officials working within this city government are unprofessional incompetent and unorganized. So are the local city officers. There is a disproportionate ratio involving a certain group of people, who are present at the court proceedings. A problem the FBI need to look into or investigate. The previous clerk of court representative was investigated for fraud also illegal activity. The investigation shouldn’t stop there.

I had to pay a tag violation fine today. On-line service was efficient, clerk of court was kind lady. BUT... the amount ($160) was excessive! Not even a moving violation, i.e., speeding, running traffic signals, etc. Clerk mentioned that as of 02 JAN 2020, the fine for same offense increased to $210!! The Mayoral Council approved this increase. That will have to change. STAY CLEAR OF GROVETOWN, IF YOU CAN. IT IS A PREDATORY TOWN. Such a shame.
