Garner Hotel Aiken South by IHG

I love all the food options around and easy to walk to I stayed here for 50 days and liked most of everything everyone tried to help and nice as possible my only dislike is the blonde breakfast manager I saw her coming from my room oneday and thought she was cleaning but it was not clean I asked her and she said she was checking to see if it was clean. I'm sure I was missing money but it was only 15 so I left it go and for days I hear her talking to her workers like she owns them they keep working so I guess the pay is good but I don't care how good the pay is I couldn't work for someone that acts like they own me. The hotel is good but not the breakfast management

Our smoke alarm went off after a hot shower. We called the front desk for 5 min, no answer. We went down to the front desk and no one was to be seen. We waited for 15 min with no one answering the phone, no front desk person, nothing, all while our smoke alarm was going off for 15 min. I had to walk behind the desk and silence the alarm myself. We returned to our room and FINALLY received a call from the front desk 30 mins after our alarm went off. The was the first night of a 3 night stay. We immediately checked out the next morning. The only excuse we were given was the front desk person was "with another guest"...if that were true, how did they not hear the alarm blaring. This in addition to several sketchy people walking through the parking lot left us feeling completely unsafe.

Made a trip back to Aiken (my hometown) this week and everything about the hotel was amazing. Service was great they upgraded my room for me when I had a problem with mine was nice enough to let me know certain things and the room was nice and clean. I'll definitely be coming back to this hotel on my next trip here. Until then 5 stars! Only downside is sometimes in the area you'll hear someone driving loud from your room but that's not really a hotel problem.

Im a diamond elite member have been for years and I stay in hundreds of places. The garner hotel by ihg was a pleasant stay. Its still fairly new so some things aren't updated to their potential but thats bound to come it is very nice clean and comfortable along with good location mid town wil stay again

The property is nice, our room was clean for the most part. I showered in socks due to the shower floor being dirty, it looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in quite some time. The TV was severely lacking. It's had some basic free channels, about 6 and that was all. The shows kept going in and out due to poor service from the provider.
