Fairfield Inn & Suites Aiken

Booked a block of rooms for a youth softball tournament. Reservation center couldn’t find the room block. Had to call multiple times to the front desk to get someone to answer to book. Didn’t find out until check in that they had half our team booked under the wrong room block. AC didn’t work in 2 of the rooms. One room reeked of weed. Most of the shampoos, conditioners or body washes in the shower were empty on check in. Came back Saturday afternoon from playing to swim - sign up that the pool is closed. Asked front desk when it would be opening and were told not for the rest of the weekend. Hotel manager was called and her response was “there’s no reason that pool should be closed.” Manager came on site and pool was magically reopened. Too many issues for the price we paid for the rooms.

My stay here recently (May 2025) was truly a blessing. The staff was exceptional and exceeded my expectations in taking care of my concerns. Also getting a late check out was not a problem.

Hotel sorely needs an update and more effort in housekeeping. Our room was left pretty dirty with trash on the ground and sticky spills on an end table. It also needed maintenance - the AC unit was way too loud (bad bearing in the fan?) and the shower adjustment knob was too loose and wouldn't hold temperature. Shower pressure was terrible. Poor lighting, old furniture, and thin walls completed the experience.

Do not stay here and do not work here they allow employees lie on other employee s and not hear both sides of things also very rude to new trainees and alot of the rooms are having hot water issues. Theyrufuse to fix along with pools chemicals being off also noticed they do have roaches not many but they do Over heard an exemploye on phone out side. Today

The hotel is newly updated and looks great! We were greeted warmly upon our arrival. Our hotel room smelled so clean when we entered it. Breakfast was your typical complimentary hotel breakfast, but the sweet lady who operated it was the real treat. She was so helpful and kind! We were on the second floor and near the elevator. My only complaint is that the kids there were running up and down the hall yelling and slamming doors. You could hear everything. But by 11pm, everything was quiet. The beds, pillows, towels, and everything were fresh and plentiful. My only complaint about the room was that there was very little water pressure for the shower. I'm still giving 5 stars because there is nothing you can do about other peoples kids, except wait it out. The shower was fine, given the affordable price for your stay.
