Emperador asian-mex

The service here was good, but i didn't enjoy the food. The salmon on the Philly roll had a super smoky flavor, too much tbh, which made it seem like they were masking the flavor of poor quality fish. The gyoza was ok. The beef from the beef pho was awful, but the broth was good

What used to be Red Bowl is now Emperador Asian-Mex. The menu is virtually the same, minus sushi plus Mexican staples. They are understaffed so service was slow, but fine. I ordered wonton soup and got wonton-egg drop combo soup. Tasted like chicken soup. Husband got the house special fried rice and a California roll which was fresh and rice had good flavor. My pineapple chicken dish was beautifully presented in half a pineapple, but there wasn't much flavor and the steamed rice was forgotten even after reminding the server. Music playing in the restaurant was an odd choice of 90s country gospel.

I hope to be able to leave a good review in the future, but I can't even try the food. Google says they open at 10 on Sunday. After 11 they had the OPEN sign on, but it was still locked and no one was inside. Hopefully they figure it out.

We wanted to try this restaurant. We were seated and 10 minutes we were not noticed. People who came in after us were being waited on first. So we left and didn't try the food. I understand being under staffed but that was ridiculous.

We ordered Chicken and Broccoli and Moo Goo Gai Pan via takeout. They appeared to have good quality ingredients however both were flavorless. The sauces are what make an Asian dish and they were thin and tasted like mild broths. The other problem was the gentleman answering the phone and taking orders did not seem familiar with the menu. I received a pineapple chicken dish instead of the Moo Goo Gai Pan I ordered. Needless to say we will not be returning.
