Dollar General

I love the prices & can usually find what I'm looking for, but the store is very small & aisles are often partially blocked due to boxes of new items being shelved. Still, I usually go there at least once a week. The clerks are always friendly and helpful.

I visit this location often. Sometimes it is good, others Very Good. Most of the time it revolves around stock issues. (Many locations the choice is empty shelf or still packed on carts in isles) As of late there have been no issues. Everything is on the shelf in good supply. That has been more and more the case lately.

Upon entering DGS Saturday 10/14/23. I noticed cashier on her cellphone. I walked around selected my items waited line. Cashier still on her cellphone talking too person on speaker phone now you hear both them laughing and talking. NOT ENGAGING with the customers in front of her. How UNPROFESSIONAL I mean UNPROFESSIONAL !!! Where's the real COURTESY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE so 😔 😔!!! Went I finally made it to the counter I was holding my item's in my hand cashier still on her cellphone motion to me to put my items on the counter I said NO cause how DIRTY an NASTY the counter was. Anyway I say to her HOW RUDE it was for her to be on her cellphone while taking care customers she became ARGUMENT going back in forth EXCHANGING WORDS with me. Saying things like if you go to Walmart or one of those other places they be on there cellphone too. Like I said to her I'm taking about your BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. First and last time shopping at this location. DGS Management should pay more ATTENTION to what kind of SERVICE they cashiers are giving. I really hope cashier Britanica name on reciept. I hope Management or Corporate OFC read this store #4091 1st till trans #60313 12:05 pm.

The Dollar General is generally not very clean or well organized. The aisles were cluttered and several were blocked with boxes or equipment making them inaccessible for those requiring a mobility device or even for a cart for that matter. There weren't many carts to be found and I actually had to ask for the one that was being turned in at the register. However, I needed to get a prepaid ATT phone card for another person and this store was certain to have it available. The cashier was friendly and even assisted me with putting my water into my buggy as I had an arm in a sling. So for a quick, no frills, in and out trip, this might be the place to go.

Employees there were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the store and what was sold there. Store was clean. The bathroom was also clean. They were out of the size of what actually went in store for. Was able to look around a bit. There was a number of items in the store. It seemed like an A to Z store. What's not in this store the other store just down the road near Walmart has many things this one doesn't. An example would be the air conditioner filters basic an allergen filters are at the other but not this one. Although, there are much more dog and pet supplies at this location than the one near Walmart. There are also more cleaning supplies it seems here. It appears to be more hair products than at this location also. Sign in Dollar General near Walmart off Knox Ave is closing. When asked about this store carrying rge a/c filters there was definite answer. However, it seems one should be able to cover since now the other won't be around. Knox Ave store closes around April 2019.
