Chris is a phenomenal angler, teacher, and guide. I just returned from Lake Murray for my bachelor trip and can’t speak highly enough about the experience Chris provided. I brought a fairly large group with me and all of us caught fish, even some that have never worked a fishing pole in their life! That speaks volumes to Chris’ patience and knowledge of the lake. He is friendly, entertaining, and makes it feel like you’re fishing with a buddy. Every fish we landed on the boat was met with a fist bump and genuine excitement from Chris. My brother and I came down for 2 days of fishing. Chris was nothing short of professional. We had an absolute blast. Chris put us on them right away and we ended up catching a ton of great fish. Chris is awesome guide, and I would highly recommend him. He does a really good job of teaching and explaining things so you can be confident your fishing the techniques the right way. I definitely learned a lot. He put us on some big bass, and they were a ton of fun to catch.

Chris is hands down the best fishing guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from! He took my retired dad and me out bass fishing in the scorching South Carolina heat in late June—98 degrees and no expectations for a big day. But Chris absolutely delivered and then some. He taught us how to finesse the bite with soft plastics and drop-shotting, a technique I’d read about but never mastered. Chris didn’t just explain it—he showed me, taking the rod and teaching me how to feel the subtle “mush” as the soft plastic touched bottom 20 feet down and how to take up slack to keep it perfectly suspended. This hands-on teaching was something I could never have learned from a magazine or video. His expertise made all the difference. The results? We caught more largemouth bass than we’ve ever landed in a single day, and I smashed my personal record with a chunky 5lbs+ beauty (pictured). It was an unforgettable experience for both me and my dad. Chris is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also a patient and fun guide who made the day epic. Great trip Chris…Landed my PB of 7 lbs on Lake Murray. Gonna be hard to top that one. Chris is a novel of knowledge and puts you right on the fish! We will be back for more if we can get on the schedule!
