From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality from Mrs. Tammie, who is not just a 5-star waitress, but also a light, offering excellent service and life-changing conversations. She makes you feel like you’re walking into your auntie’s house for Sunday dinner. Chef George brings the heart of the South into every dish he prepares. Being from South Carolina, I know true Southern food, and this place gets it right every single time. My favorite days to visit are Wednesdays and Thursdays—it’s become my personal mission to eat here on those days. Wednesdays? I’m all about the spaghetti with meatballs, that sweet, fluffy cornbread, and a cold glass of REAL Southern sweet tea. Thursdays? It’s the ultimate comfort meal: tomatoes with rice, fried pork chops, cornbread, and of course, more of that sweet tea. Every visit feels like walking into a family kitchen. If you’re ever in Augusta and want true Southern food made with love, do yourself a favor and stop by The Chef’s House! Come for the food, stay for the love.

Let me just say...i don't know how I've never been here before but i feel like I have been missing out!!! From the time we walked in to the time we left, everything was absolutely spectacular. Tammy was so kind and helpful and humble. She had the most beautiful smile and you could tell she loved being there to help others. Her husband, the chef, was just as kind. You can also tell he loves what he does because the food is made with love and care. Everything tasted so so good. He came out of the kitchen to offer us roles in cornbread with our meal, and when we went back for peach cobbler he brought us a big bowl of Vanilla Ice cream. He also gave us hugs whenever we left. I honestly cannot say enough how amazing this experience was.. I would go back again and again. If you haven't been by the Chef's House you absolutely HAVE to go. ❤️

My husband and I truly enjoyed our lunch date on our day off. They offer a salad bar and a buffet style lunch bar with the BEST cornbread and peach cobbler on this side of Heaven!!! I’m from MS, so trust me when I say I know good cornbread and peach cobbler!! Did I mention the greens? AMAZING!! The waitress was a sweet classy southern lady and the chef was such a gentleman! He came out to bring us our bread and the ice cream like the kind I use to get at MawMaw’s house back in the day! The chef also makes the food in small batches so everything is FRESH!!!

I went there with my granddaughter, and my friends , they loved the food. It is so fresh and well done. my granddaughter loved the collard greens so much that she had her second plate of the greens. For the green beans, I loved the fact that they kept it traditional greens. no one does that anymore and it gave me an old memory of my grandmother , my siblings and I breaking them green beans ends and have my grandmother cook them. will definitely come back

I’ve been coming to the chef house for many years and they never disappoint me . The food is always so good ,the sweet tea is everything and the peach cobbler is my favorite I never miss getting some . Tammy and George are such great people and their customer service is world class. They treat you like family whenever you enter their building and I love that.The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. The restaurant is always so clean and smells great !If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend you do… By far one of the best and I would give them 10 stars if I could ❤️
