BE CAREFUL OF THE ORTHODONIST YOU CHOOSE! Backstory: I had braces around 12/13 years of age. My orthodontist at the time with Tucker Orthodontist in Aiken, SC, he is amazing by the way. . Around 2016/2017, I decided that I wanted to replace my old school metal retainer with a new Invisalign type retainer. I opted to go with Carter Orthodontist in Aiken, SC because of the Invisalign Forever Club seemed like a good deal. I visited Dr. Carter and told him that I wanted a new retainer. He brought up shifting my two bottom canines inward a bit so I trusted his professional opinion. He asked me to open my mouth and without my permission he began shaving the sides of my canine teeth, which created large gaps on the sides of my teeth. The picture below indicates the condition of my teeth prior to Dr. Carter shaving my teeth down. I took this picture at my first visit with him. They were perfect, zero imperfections, and zero gaps. I have visited with Dr. Carter in recent years and expressed my utter disappointment and with each discussion and visit, I am left feeling absolutely helpless about what he has done to my teeth. He has ruined my teeth and taken zero accountability. I am a firm believer, if you mess something up then you fix it. This individual has zero regard for the damage he causes. He has said that I would need to pay for additional Invisalign trays to close the gap. Again, if he had never shaved my teeth down then we would not have this issue. I also don’t appreciate a doctor that shaves down teeth without asking, especially teeth without any issues. I wouldn’t have ever agreed to shave down my teeth. I will never let this individual touch my teeth again. I just want others to be aware of his quality of work. The pictures below speak the entire story...before Carter and after Carter. This snippet into my experience is long overdue, but each and every day I look into the mirror and I am disgusted with what Dr. Carter has done to my teeth.

My first appointment was very pleasant!!! Dr.David and Libby were so kind lovely to my son(who they made a Dr in less that 10 minutes)!! I’m so excited to start my journey with them! I cannot wait ❤️ I highly recommend them!

Although I didn’t catch the name of the technician that worked with me today, I’ll forever remember her and her infectious laugh! Beautiful spirit. The overall atmosphere and ease in ease in which the doctor had with technicians and me are unmatched!

Exceptional Service from start to finish! DR David and his staff were amazing. I could not be happier with my braces if your looking for a great place to receive orthodontic care give them a call they will not disappoint.
