This is my second time around buying a house and the home buying experience was a lot better. Southstate bank has a simplified set up. It's educational and each step of the home buying process is explained with a video. They have an online home buyer course that has all the information you need to know before, during, and after you buy a house. It helps prospective buyers make an informed decision. Brad was really great. He responded within 24 hours of any questions I had and always checked in to see if everything was going alright. Joey, the initial agent I started with, also checked in periodically to see if I needed anything. The whole process was very smooth. I learned a lot more this time around and I appreciate that. We were in the process to get our VA loan preapproved with another lender who absolutely went off the rails. Communication with her was weird & then somehow we didn't qualify.
