Augusta South Family YMCA

The classes and instructors at Augusta South are great. However, members pay wayyy too much for the showers to be nasty. I mean it’s horrible and unsanitary. The manager and staff really should be ashamed. Myself and other members have complained multiple times to only be told they don’t have a company to come clean it and tell a staff member. Why is it not staff responsibility to clean it anyway or at least check if it needs cleaning??? Also, I take early morning classes so they are not cleaned that night before closing or the morning when opening.

I am a new member and joined right before the New Year. I am enjoying the facility and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The gym is very close to my home, which was the deciding factor for why I joined. The equipment, in my opinion, is good, and one could really get a good full body workout. The lockers could be a lot better/newer. I do agree with another post about the music coming from the aerobics room; it is much too loud and can be heard throughout the whole gym. I don’t think it should be as loud as it is. Despite the lockers and the music, this place is a 5 star for me.

I love this Y. We usually hit them all, but this one is our favorite and normal go to.

I use to be a member of this gym...Very nice and close to where I live. My favorite area would be the sauna. I really wish they would build a pool that way members don't have to drive across town. I visit this location when I sign my son up for primetime. The staff is nice. I would definitely join again if I'm looking for a gym to join in the future.
