This place is a joke. They do not care I'm a single dad with sole custody of 3 daughters and I reach out because i have been on this waiting list for over 2 years as homeless with 3 kids, ask them what I'm supposed to do because after 2 years I'm still number 450 and the lady straight to my face told me I don't know what to tell u. Umm isn't that your job to help people I'm sorry y'all need to fire everyone in this place and start over with some proper supervision and goals to actually help the people that truly need it.. this whole town is a joke

This place is st8 up full of bs. I got my paperwork I emailed my sorry caseworker my stuff Dec. 17 . I never heard nothing back from her. I get a letter in the mail at the end of April saying I was denied cause I didn't submit my paperwork. I did the sorry caseworker never contacted me r notify me letting me know she couldn't read it. But claim she gave me 2 extension but I didn't know nothing about neither one of the extension nor that the information wasn't clear enough. They put in contact with Mr. Freeman he told me to send him the information I sent her and he look at it. Man that man became a ghost. He never answered any of my calls email r message. Not just that I had gotten a voucher when covet hit & it wasn't no house out here so I lost that cause they knew it wasn't no house available and no where to go to use it. But I couldn't get no kind of help r extension but they was helping people with motel and stuff but wouldn't help the 1s that was really trying to do better. Augusta housing authority is the worst place I have ever seen. They always talking about no opening when they have 5 r 10 different empty units. These caseworker are so sorry & the head people only there for the money and helping who they want to help. Not just that they don't want pay enough for the cost of living. Please b careful when dealing with them. Don't even worry about they supervisor cause they worst than the caseworker. That's y they don't do they job cause they have poor leadership and judgement on how they handle people cases.

These people don't care about nobody trust me I been on Section 8 did a portable transfer to Atlanta Housing in 11/23 didn't get to Atlanta Housing until 03/24 then to tell me in June my paperwork had to be sent back because the caseworker Ms Star Smith didn't respond to their emails or phone calls to great me a extension here I'm still waiting on my paperwork going from place to place then they act like it's my fault and want me to write or email them for a extension which I don't think is fair on my part why should I have to do that when it's not my fault it's only one person fault and I'm doing something about it I been looking up who is over all the housing because there is always someone else you can contact trust me I know because I know people which they don't think so I will be reporting all this on a much higher level

Mrs Star Smith and Mrs. Brenda Halls are absolutely 🔝 tier I enjoyed working with them and them working me with during my process helping answer questions and assisting with all information in the most kindest and professional manner ‼️

I had the Best Case manager or advocate for my case Ms. Raechelle Bland she’s caring concern and very professional when it comes to dealing with her clients she was on top of everything things for me she even when as far as giving resources when I was in my situation with me being homeless with my grandchildren Ms. Bland pull through for my family and I she’s truly a God send in time of my lowest I am very grateful for her and her team fir giving my family a opportunity to be able to safety and to be able to allowed us this opportunity to settle in I’m sending all my best wishes and prayers for such individuals I feel truly blessed and I love ❤️ you all.
