Augusta Cheer Academy

We've been apart of this gym for over 15 years. The oldest family in the gym. I have 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 1 grandniece, 1 son and 3 daughters who have been on many teams at this gym. Currently 2 daughters on 2 teams. People always ask how we've done it for this long, and honestly this gym is our family. We've had amazing seasons and some that weren't my favorites but this is how cheer goes. Can it be costly, yes but so is any other travel sport. Its been our other home and our family absolutely loves the gym and the amazing staff up there. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested.

Very poor communication and no genuine empathy when approaching about a concern or misunderstanding. If your time is in print as 1pm then “word of mouth” through a child or assuming a grand parent will pass along a different and earlier time is bad practice. Not being able to see my child show her new found skills in her first introduction to cheerleading this week because of assumption leaves a very bad memory from this experience. I literally left work early and fought traffic coming 35 mins away to show up to my child sad I couldn’t make it when it could have been avoided. And when speaking to you, giving half “well sorry” or telling my child “I don’t know what to do about that, sorry” is not empathetic nor professional in how to handle this situation at all. You received the money for the week and decided we were just another number. I had high hopes to return because in spite of the experiences my daughter is excited to grow as a cheerleader. But I see as of how the very shallow and “you’re wasting my time but let me sound sweet while holding your hand and pretend to care” attitude means we are not wanted here. So we will go elsewhere.

My daughter has been cheering here for the last 4 years and absolutely loves it! The staff is so friendly and will treat you like family. We love ACA!

There is nothing my daughter loves more than being in the gym! The all-star program is so organized and you know exactly what you are signing up for due to the detail in the contract. Meredith is always willing to answer everyone's questions and Rachel makes sure her staff is well educated to keep up with this everchanging industry. This is our 4th season in competitive cheerleading and 3rd as a national star!

Which I could give 0 stars. This is a MONEY HUNGRY business. They make you sign a contract before you can get evaluated. You have no idea what team you're going to b apart of. How can we be sure we want to commit to something that we don't know what it's going to be. I pulled my daughter the very 1st day and they wanted $850 for us to leave. We are moving to Texas and that's a more than reasonable explanation to leave. I can understand if they already learned the choreography and was getting ready for competitions, but it was literally the 1st day. I wish I payed more attention to the negative reviews. I would have known how money hungry they are. Charging full price during times they are closed is outrageous! Those months should be discounted.
