Almost Heaven Stables

I've been to Almost Heaven Stables twice now. The owner is very helpful and informative about the property and obstacle courses. I brought a training challenge horse and on day 1 did the "horse obstacles" and on day 2 did the "rider obstacles". While appropriately challenging, the obstacles were all very safe and horse friendly in both areas. I'd recommend this place to everyone because there is something for everybody here.

An absolutely amazing obstacle course that is extensive to say the least. Val and her husband are as nice as people can possibly be and so accommodating. I am a professional Horse Trainer and it means the world to me to have such a facility to bring young horses and insecure horses that need confidence building. And boy is this the place to do it.

The two 1 star reviews below are completely irrelevant! Mrs. Val is the NICEST horse person I have EVER met and it speaks volumes! The people below were politely asked to pickup after themselves and did not. Which is the rudest thing you can do if you use someone else’s facility if you ask me. Her facility is immaculate and the most cared for I’ve ever been to. She puts her heart and soul into taking care of the grounds. I have never seen ONE pile of manure in her pastures, arena, or obstacle course upon arrival to use the obstacle course. The pastures, yes pastures, are mucked twice a day! Her motivation and dedication to Almost Heaven Stables is so inspiring! I am blessed to call Mrs. Val my friend and you will be too! I would give this a 4.5 stars for the obstacle course however, this review mainly concerns the "drama-free" boarding environment she claims to have. The cost is too high for the level of care given to your horse. Many boarders have had issues with Valeria in the past, myself included. I was given 3 days to vacate her property after she berated and name-called me for even causally thinking about moving my horse to a barn closer to my house. She starts up drama between all her long term customers and tries to make you turn on each other. If you're looking for a place you dread going to every day to see your horse, this is the place for you.

I highly recommend this experience! The staff and horses did not disappoint. The trails were perfect and well maintained. The horses were very sweet and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Couldn't have asked for a better trip through the beautiful town of Aiken, SC.
