Aiken Taekwondo Academy

I took the CWP class today (10/9/21) with my mom. Our experience with firearms was somewhat limited before this class but Jim was a great instructor. He was very informative but entertaining during the lecture portion of the course. He gave a real world approach to this course which we appreciated. Out on the range he was really great and very helpful! Very professional and gave direct/clear communication, but would help you out if you need anything. Would highly recommend his course for anyone interested in taking a CWP course.

I've been to 4 different martial art schools and have practiced for 12 years, I can say without a doubt you will not find a school with as much humility as this one. Many schools charge you hidden fees, force you to sign a contract, or make you pay unreasonable maintenance costs, but none of that is in practice here. Rest assured they will give you a good deal and treat you like family. They have plenty of fun activities along with a strong knowledge of the arts. I have used what they have taught me to avoid fights and win tournaments. They teach life skills that can be put in place in the real world. These people are a family, not just some corporate trying to take your money.

I took the CWP Class with Mr. Johnson and it was very informative. He goes through all the requirements and skills that you need to obtain your permit. Hes very thorough. If you follow instructions you will breeze through his course. He answers questions and gives corrections.

James is a great coach and wants you to succeed. I had problems on the range and he was patient with me while we figured it out. Even though I have taken a CWP before, I learned so much today. Highly recommend this class for anyone wanting to get it done!

I was trying this place out to see if my daughter would like it. They offer a first class free and so we tried it out. I like that there is a great since of structure, but also they had games to make it fun. I called them ahead of time to see how it works and their customer service on the phone was great. I also looked on their website, which could use some help, but I was able to find the information I needed and it sounds like they have a great program and great incentive for kids to do well. My only wish is that there was at least one other girl in the class, because my daughter is a little shy but she enjoyed it and I'm going to enroll her this month, I look forward to the progress she makes. I also took tae kwon do as a child and I'm glad we have a great school here.
